Dealers wake up! Unionize now while we can still protect our jobs. Think about what has happened recently in Las Vegas that directly affected 1000's of dealers income.

Park Place Entertainment took over Caesars and instantly began harassment of the older experienced dealers, lowering limits thus lowering tokes.

MGM took over Mirage Resorts and immediately created a very stressful work place by saying there would be layoffs.  And then, if rumors are true, laying off quite a few dealers that were over the age of 40.  Tokes are down there also.

Steve Wynn takes over Desert Inn and immediately drops all limits to $500 maximum bet, and cancels all player's credit.  A 10 hour dealing shift there recently netted $17 in tokes.  He is closing the doors to make way for a bigger, better resort at the cost of several peoples livelihoods.

Now Park Place Entertainment sells the Las Vegas Hilton to the owner of the Silverton casino, and he announces that he will lower the limits, does not want the highroller action and intends to take out a lot of the table games to replace them with slot machines.  Lowering the limits will lower the tokes and no highroller action will devastate tokes.

Our jobs are being taken away by corporate greed.  Dealers still work for minimum wage and have to depend on tokes, but if the trend to lower limits and stop high roller action continues we will all be looking for other jobs to supplement our dealing jobs.

Dealing will indeed become a part time career. Look at how many casinos now use the extra board as full time employees with none of the benefits.  Think of the abuse you are expected to take while on the game.  But one customer can turn in a complaint against you and you are tried before ever giving your side of the story.

A study recently named casino dealing as the #1 stress causing job in the United States.  Does your jobplace offer stress management classes?

We may never have a better chance than right now to unionize, as I said HEED THE CALL. If we all band together we can do it.
