Jack-today I heard a "rumor" that this union
that is trying to organize the dealers doesn't offer insurance or
a pension plan-if this is true-why would I want to join them.
Where can I get some written info on this union to see for myself?
Thanks,

TO: #31-LV:
These are standard lies written by the union busters hired by the
hotels. Just ignore the crap they hand out. They will say anything
to get the dealers to think the union will do no good. Looking
back over the years, it is management who has ignored us and
frozen our wages and given us no sick days and fired people for no
good reason.
They will try to make themselves out to be saints....and the union
to be impotent to change working conditions and benefits. Well, if
that's what you think, just stand back and watch all the other
casinos vote for the union and wait to see what comes of it.
Remember, it's not the union that "gives" the dealers
anything. It's what they get for themselves when they stand
together in the face of false rumors and intimidation. The union
can only show them the path....they must walk it themselves.
I've gotten to know the union guys pretty well and in my opinion
they are top notch, professional people. On the other hand after
working in the business for 24 years, casino management has shown
me nothing but indifference and greed. Their standard line is
"if you don't like it, hit the door." That attitude
shows me what they think about us, and that's not good enough.
There was an open house at the Embassy Suites for two days this
week --- Wednesday and Thursday, but that's over now. And what a
turnout there was! But you can still call them for a one-on-one
meeting. So, if you want to get the straight scoop call Frank
Trotti or Jeff Osborne at the Embassy Suites. Even though the open
house is over, they're there to answer your questions. Go down
there with a few dealers and find out the information you need to
make up your mind. You be the judge. Everything is absolutely
confidential.
His number is 893-8000, ask for room 418. If he's out, leave a
voice mail. You owe it to yourself to hear the truth.
Let me know how you make out.
