Hello I was just wondering will having a bankruptcies on my record prevent me from getting a job in the new age of big corporate casino's? I know just about any one can get a job at a break in house, but how about a job with the bigger casino after my break in period....? the reason I ask is that I am currently taking a class in crap dealing in Las Vegas.

I was a truck driver making a decent living. If I wont be able to get a job because of a past bankruptcies then should I concentrate my energies in another line of work....I really hope that working in the casino industries is a viable option.... thank you.... any input would help me out in a tremendous way......

A very good question. You are right. Many of the larger casinos will not hire dealers with bankruptcies on their record. I think a lot depends on how long it has been and what your recent financial record shows. I would make some calls directly to the Human Resources Departments of some of the larger resorts and ask them if there is a policy regarding this issue.

Remember, the whole purpose of bankruptcy law is to provide a second chance to people who have made mistakes. It was supposed to change the counterproductive policies of debtors prisons, and the like.
