I am a dealer in Kenner, a suburb of New Orleans.  Have been dealing ten years now.  Hated flooring which I did on and off.  This is the first time ever I have encountered a casino where dealer tokes are kept in the casino's general ledger.  Have you ever heard of that?  And talk about taking advantage of this situation.... recently the casino encouraged employees in other departments to attend a dealer school to generate more dealers inside the casino.

These people came from the kitchen, security, the cage, slots, etc.  They also were all employees with several year's seniority.  Therefore, they had accumulated 80 to over 100 PTO hours.  Rather than paying their time out upon the transfer, as most would think would be done, the comptroller decided on her own to pay these people out of our dealer account.

Therefore, the casino paid only minimum hourly wage to these employees while we paid our toke money to people who never earned one dime of those tokes.  And no one even told us let alone asked us if we agreed with this.

They do whatever they want with our toke money and no one seems to be able to do anything about it.  We don't even have a Dealer's Association.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

P.S.  The sum we are talking about is over $30,000 and still counting..
