A group
of Nevada Casino Dealers filed a class action lawsuit against the
Tobacco Industry on October 8, 1997. On January 6, 1998 another
lawsuit filed on behalf of injured workers in the casino industry
has been filed in federal court.
We would like the Nevadan delegation to vote "no"
on all tobacco industry offers onsettlements. We do not believe it
is in the best interest of Nevadans who have suffered damages
because of intentional criminal conduct of the tobacco companies
over the decades.
