(Formerly NCDA / NFGE)

Wynn is using his dealer’s tokes as his own personal ATM. Dealers and all tip earners know this is nuts but so far have been powerless to stop him. And strangely, nary a peep has been heard in opposition to this insane policy from the other casino bosses, apparently, Wynn’s silent comrades.

We attempted, through the legislature and the courts, to make tip-stealing unlawful, but we were beaten back by a corrupt and bootlicking legislature and a groveling judicial system. Everyone we have sought information and advice from, which understand the issue, are unanimous in their belief that as long as fixing the law is dependent on someone other than tip earners and the unbiased citizens of the state, it will not happen.

“Some think the petition could be the dealers’ last — but best — trump card in their fight to roll back the policy, which has become national news and a battle of wills between the rank and file and their forward-thinking but volatile boss.” Las Vegas Sun Sept. 7, 2007

“….. They can’t let the Legislature do it. The gaming industry owns the Legislature.”  Las Vegas lawyer Kermit Waters, Las Vegas Sun Oct. 10, 2007

The best and only avenue left to us to right this wrong is to mount a citizen’s petition drive. That is the only attack they cannot defend against. Essentially, PEST will be doing the same thing Assemblyman Bob Beers attempted with AB 357, but instead, going directly to the people for voter approval, with no bureaucracy or special interest (i.e. casino) influence. This is our only hope of a solution to solve this problem so that all tip earners will be protected.

We have worked hard and gone this far, let’s finish the job. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the PEST campaign which consists of TV spots, radio and newspaper ads. Please be generous with your donations. The importance of this campaign cannot be overstressed.

Please follow attachment below to see Assemblyman Bob Beers’ endorsement of the PEST campaign.

As always, donations will be confidential and will be strictly recorded and accounted for.
