Support the IUGE in our fight against Steve
Wynn’s tip grab policy. The Culinary Union says
the IUGE did not consider the different ways
union members get tipped (charge tips, credit
card tips, banquet tips, etc.).
D. Taylor wants you to oppose the IUGE in our
fight against Steve Wynn’s tip grab. He is not
being honest in his opposition.
In our opinion, he
is purposely misleading his own membership and
all other tip earners. He knows our petition
does NOT affect the union contract provisions.
The actual wording in our petition reads:
“Ensure
that any applicable collective bargaining
agreement regarding tip pooling will be
permitted without interference.”
and
“it
shall be unlawful for their employer to require
that particular employees receive an allocation
of those shared tips or gratuities, unless the
provisions of an applicable collective
bargaining agreement authorize the employer to
make such a determination or requirement.”
